3 Easy and Healthy Snack Recipes

 

In today's fast paced world, isn't easy to eat healthy. Many people eat unhealthy options to save time and money. However, there are options that are healthy and quick. Here are some examples to help you make a positive change in your eating habits.
 

Garlic and Sage Sweet Potato Wedges

2 whole sweet potatoes (not yams)

5 leaves fresh white sage, minced

1 tablespoon minced garlic

2 tablespoons olive oil

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Skin your sweet potatoes and cut them into bite sized wedges. Combine the oil, sage, and garlic. Toss the potatoes in the oil mix until coated, and bake for 15-20 minutes until soft and golden brown on the edges.

 


3-2-1 Quick Fruit Salad

3 different fruits of your choice, cut into bite sized chunks (1 cup total)

2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup

Combine all ingredients and enjoy! Goes great with granola or other dry cereals.

 


Baked Banana

1 whole banana

1 teaspoon butter or margarine

Pinch cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

 

Peel off one third of the banana peel, leaving 2/3 of the banana covered. Rub the exposed area with the butter and spices. Bake for 10 minutes or to desired doneness.
