Bell Pepper are In Season

Bell peppers are always a staple at our house and are included on every grocery list. They are a go-to for a quick snack and can easily be included in just about any recipe you are making. I love the variation of colors they add to a dish and each variety offers up a uniquely different flavor profile to a meal. The bell pepper packs a mean punch in terms of health benefits too. If I were too list all of the phytonutrients and antioxidants found in them, you would be reading a multi-page essay! They have been found to reduce Type-2 diabetes, reduce cardiovascular disease, and improve eye health. When I think of these amazing vegetables, I immediately think of steak fajitas covered in delicious bell peppers and onions. Just to get all of our mouths drooling.
